Obituary For Paul D'Allesandro
Paul DAllesandro, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2016 at home surrounded by his daughters, siblings and wife of 12 years, Jane (Sherman) DAllesandro.
Born on November 18, 1948 in Fall River, Paul is the son of the late Americo Pete and Gertrude (Butler) DAllesandro.
A self-employed farmer for over 47 years, Paul began dairy farming at age 19, before transitioning to market gardening in the 1990s. Paul was the 1980 New England Green Pastures Rhode Island Dairyman of the Year and the 1984 Conservationist Farmer of the Year. He took pride in his hard work and dedication to farming. Paul lived in the East Bay Area his whole life and was a member of the NRA. In 2011, Paul realized a dream by traveling to the Grand Canyon and enjoying a white water rafting trip down the Colorado River.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Sara DAllesandro of Mansfield, MA and Julie DAllesandro (Benjamin) Frank of Bellingham, MA, siblings, Peter (Faith Wilbur) DAllesandro of Little Compton, RI, Susan (the late Dennis) Langmack of Barrington, RI, Mark (Gerri) DAllesandro of Magnolia, DE and Tracy (Joe) Carreiro of New Bedford, MA.
He is the beloved and doting grandfather of Emma, Isabelle, Hannah, Marianna and Andrew Frank. He is also survived by 7 nieces and nephews. He enjoyed the company of a wide circle of devoted friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend with calling hours to be held after the service from 12:30 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Our deepest sympathies for all of Uncle Pete's family and friends. I (George) have many fond memories of Uncle Pete and the farm - especially hunting there with my father (Gene).
