Rita R. ( Lavergne) Wilkinson, 90 , died Sunday Oct. 4 2015 at the Home and Hospice Care of RI.

She was the wife of the late James A. Wilkinson.

Rita was born in Warren, a daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Castonguay) Lavergne.

She was a buyers assistant for the Raytheon Company for over 25 years, before retiring.

Rita was a life long Warren resident, and parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Mrs. Wilkinson enjoyed gardening and reading books.

She is survived by a dear friend Scott Beaulieu and his wife Rebecca of Tiverton and their children Nicole, Mia, and Donald.

She was the mother of the late Ronald James Wilkinson, and sister of the late Roland Lavergne.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday Oct. 8, 2015 at 12 noon in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Wampanoag Trail , East Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
