Obituary For Roland Boulanger

Boulanger, Roland Ace, 77 of Hope St., Bristol, formerly of Warren, passed peacefully away on Saturday surrounded by his family. He was the former husband of Ann (Vaccaro) Boulanger. He was a machinist for many years at General Dynamics/Electric Boat, belonging to local 1871, for which he had been Compensation Chairman and Shop Steward. He was also a shellfisherman for 50 years.

A graduate of the US Coast Guard Academy, he served four years with the Coast Guard. He was an inductee of the Warren Athletic Hall of Fame. He played minor league baseball for the former Boston Braves. A member of the Cup Defenders and the former IOOB. He was a former Warren Harbor Master and Reserve Police Officer. He coached for the Warren Pop Warner and Babe Ruth Leagues. He was an avid New York Yankee fan.

Beloved father of Richard Boulanger of Cranston, James Boulanger of Warren, Christopher Boulanger of Smithfield, and Roaseann Rogers in North Providence. Brother of Richard and Antone Boulanger, Ester Thivierge, Florence DaCosta, Bertha Pare, Terry Braun, and Corrine Guimond and the late Edward Boulanger. He leaves 9 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren where family will receive friends Tuesday, 4-8pm. Funeral will be held Wednesday 9am from the funeral home, a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St Jean Baptiste Church, Main St, Warren. Burial will be private.     We were so very sorry to hear about Uncle Ace's passing. My dad Richard, was keeping me informed on his condition . I am sure he is with God now and in a better place. We just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.
