Obituary For Roland H. Rogers

Rogers, Roland H., 85, of Warren, RI, passed away in Rochester, NY surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 23, 2014.

He was the loving husband of Joan Rogers. Roland and Joan were married 60 years and lived in Touisset Point.

Roland is survived by his two children Michael Rogers and Lori Zamiara and her husband Tony, and his grandchildren Megan and Adam. Roland was in the Coast Guard, he worked and then owned Barrington Craftsman in Barrington, RI. He later worked for Marshall Contractors. He was on the Warren Zoning Board for many years. Roland was one of the first volunteer firemen for Engine 6 in Touisset.

Services will be with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren, where family will receive friends on Friday May 2nd, 2014 at 9:00am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, Main Street Warren, RI. Burial will follow at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to Warren Fire Station # 6, 106 Touisst Road, Warren, RI, 02885.
