Obituary For Rose Margaret Fernandes

Rose M. Puggy (Catalano) Fernandes, a life long resident of Warren, died Monday, June 06, 2016.

She was the daughter of the late Nicola and Theresa Catalano.

She was the mother of Christopher Fernandes and his partner Diane LePore. Godmother of Gina M. Catalano. She was the sister of Penny Catalano, Josephine PeeWee Twedell, Carl Catalano and the late Michael Pietruszka. She leaves many nieces and nephews.

She spent many years with her dear friends, Katherine and the late Anthony Quinn. She will be missed by her special friends at Kickemuit Village. Puggy loved the River and spent most of her time on the shores of Poppasquash, connecting with life her way.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services. Visitation respectfully omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 11th at 10am in St Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main Street, Warren. Burial will be private.

Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908

Rose, Puggy was in my 1961 WHS graduating class. She signed my yearbook Pugnacious, but she was nothing like that at all. She always had a smile and friendly greeting. My condolences to her family. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Sandy Oliver Belgarde
