Ruth was a great person who touched so many hearts, she always spoke well about everyone. We would meet Ruthie almost every Friday evening at Chelo's for dinner and a drink or two. Ruth had many friends at the bar, just like "CHEERS". We will certainly miss Ruth dearly. I (Linda) knew Ruth as a teenager in Bristol. Dick & Linda Treacy

Ruth was a great friend to our family here at Herff Jones. She was so much a part of all of our everyday lives. Ruthie was an inspiration to all of us showing her love, concern and courage everyday. We truly miss her and that million dollar smile that she gave to all. We will forever hold her dear to us in our hearts.

To the Family of Ruth Salcone Smith: I wish to express my sincere sympathy to Ruth's family. A fellow Classmate, I have always been very fond of Ruthie. I never heard or read of her passing and feel sad that I was not there to pray with you but I am certain that she rests in peace and that you are all comforted by that thought. Sincerely,Jeanne Linacre

I was shocked and saddened by the news of Ruthie's passing. I received the news, like many of our classmates, in an e-mail from a member of our reunion committee. Upon reading the news, I flashed back to childhood, when my brother Bob and I lived on Oliver street for awhile, (we were all in elementary school), and the only thing separating our houses was a vacant field. Bob and I made regular trips to the Salcone residence and spent lots of good times playing kid games in and around the house and in that field with Ruthie, Suzanne, and Joe. Condolences to the family, and Ruthie, rest in peace. Colt Memorial High School Class of '59.
