Obituary For Scarlett Shepard St. Angelo

Scarlett Shepard St. Angelo, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unforgettable warmth. Born on February 8, 1951, in Wilson, North Carolina, to Warren Shepard and Doris I. Taylor, Scarlett lived a life full of adventure, kindness, and deep devotion to those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Warren Shepard, and is survived by her devoted husband, Edward “Eddie” St. Angelo Jr. of Sebastian, Florida, and her cherished daughter, Kara L. Cabassa of Brooklyn, NY, who was the light of her life. Scarlett’s eyes would shine whenever Kara’s name was mentioned — her pride in the woman Kara became was boundless.

After moving from Barrington, Rhode Island, Scarlett and Eddie made their home in Sebastian, Florida, where they embraced life on the road, traveling extensively in their motorhome and enjoying countless motorcycle adventures together. Scarlett was also a steadfast supporter of Eddie’s auto racing career, always cheering him on with pride and enthusiasm.

Scarlett’s heart was as big as her smile. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved. Her compassion knew no bounds, and if you were lucky enough to meet her, you couldn’t help but love her. She loved life deeply — and she especially loved her constant companion, her chocolate Lab, Truffles. The two were inseparable, sharing a bond that brought joy to everyone around them.

Scarlett’s legacy is one of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. She touched countless lives with her generous spirit and joyful heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the stories we share, the love we carry, and the light she brought into the world.
