Obituary For Shirley Butterworth

Shirley (Cadima) Butterworth, 80 of Warren, died Tuesday February 17, 2015 at RI Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Charles (Chick) M. Butterworth.

Shirley was born in North Smithfield a daughter of the late Manuel and Gloria (Travis) Cadima.

She had been a homemaker. Mrs. Butterworth was a Warren resident most of life coming from Bristol. Mrs. Butterworth is survived by her sons, Steven Butterworth and Charles Butterworth of Warren, her daughters, Susan Butterworth of Warren, Patricia Massa of Bristol, and Rebekah Arruda of Warren. She was the sister of Lorraine Taylor of Barrington and Barbara Costa of Bristol. Mrs. Butterworth was the grandmother of 5 and great grandmother of 3. She was the sister of the late Alice Borges.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours Saturday from 12Noon 2:00pm. Burial will be Private in the Butterworth Family lot.

    To the family of Shirley: I am so sorry in the loss of your mom. I knew you mother long before you were born. Your grand-mother Emily was the sister of aunt Sadie Travis Costa and Uncle Walter Costa of Metacom Avenue. Uncle Walter was my father's brother. My father was Edward Pinheiro of 222 Franklin St, Bristol and Sophie was my mother. I am Linda the adopted daughter of Edward and Sophie. Now is the time where you need to be strong and stick together as a family. You are luck to have had mom all these years for i lost my mom when I was 17 yrs. Be at peace with her passing and know that she will always be with you in spirit. Linda Sylvia
