Bristol Silvana deSousa( Silveira ) Cordeiro, 87 of Bristol died Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Silver Creek Manor in Bristol.

She was the wife of the late Jose Almeida Cordeiro.

Silvana was born in Relva, St. Michael, Azores, Portugal a daughter of the late Antonio deSousa and Teresa daConceicao, daSilva ( Botelho)Silveira.

Mrs. Cordeiro, was a homemaker, and has been a Bristol resident for over 36 years coming from Portugal. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church.

She is survived by her sons Jose P. Cordeiro of Warren, Hermano Cordeiro of Bristol, Terry Cordeiro of Warren, her daughters Rosa Furtado of Canada, and Teresa Lima of Canada . Mrs. Cordeiro was the grandmother of Marcia, Celia, Carlos, Miguel, Nicole, Ryan, Christine, Brenda, Tatiana, Claire. Also she was the great grandmother of Ceara, Andrew, Noah, Owen, Khloe, Sebastian, Addison, Sofia, Emma, Parker, James, and Leah.

She also has 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

Mrs. Cordeiro was the sister of the late Armando Silveira, Conceicao de Oliveira, and also Maria Fortunata Ferreira.

Her funeral will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 7:45am from the Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Elizabeth Church, 577 Wood St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Chestnut St., Bristol.
