Komiega, Stanley J. Jr., Red 78, of Warren, died Tuesday, at home. Born in Warren a son of the late Stanley J. Sr., and Frances (Wyrostek) Komiega. He was the beloved husband of Joann (Leckie) Komiega for 58 years.

A 1946 graduate of LaSalle Academy, he worked for the Post Office for 35 years retiring as Assistant Postmaster in Warren in 1984. He then worked for 11 years at Blue Cross. He was a communicant of the former St Casimirs Church and had served on the Parish Council. He was a Member of the Bristol County Interfaith Choir. He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a past Board Member of the Columbus Credit Union and Member of the Warren Fire Department, Mechanics Engine #2.

He was the loving father of Ronald P. Komiega of Warren, Karen Jacques of Thomaston, CT and Nancy Komiega of New London, CT. Devoted grandfather of Scott & Kevin Komiega; brother of Fred Komiega of Bristol. He also leaves two great-grandsons.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 School House Road, Warren, where the family will receive friends 4-8pm Thursday. Funeral will be 8:45am at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St Mary's Church, Wood St., Bristol. Interment will be at St Jean-Baptiste Cemetery.
