STELLA (Cyganowski)Barry, 94, of Serpentine Road, died Thursday August 28, 2003 at Grace Barker Nursing Home, Warren.

She was the wife of the late James Barry.

Born in Austria, a daughter of the late Pawel and Kathryn (Golen) Cyganowski, she came to this country at the age of six months and lived most of her life in Warren.

Mrs. Barry had worked as a weaver for Van Heusen Corp. for more than 35 years, retiring in 1960.

She became a U.S. citizen in 1940.

She leaves two sons, James E. Barry of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert J. Barry of Tiverton; a daughter, Bertha Lial of Warren; a brother, Frank Cyganowski of Fairhaven, Mass.; four sisters, Carolyn Hunt of Warren, Sophie Medeiros and Lena Santos, both of Bristol, and Bertha White of Coventry; and 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Cyganowski, Julia Kozinski and Mary Lavalle.

Burial will be in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery.
