Obituary For Theresa Doris Girard

Theresa D. (Poulette) Girard, 88, of Hope St. Bristol, RI and formerly of Bellingham, MA passed into eternal life on January 10, at the Grace Barker Nursing Center.

She was the wife of 63 years to the late Rene A. Girard.

Theresa is survived by a daughter Denise Bilotti and her husband Armand Bilotti of Bristol, a son Rene R. Girard and his wife Nancy of Seattle, WA, granddaughter Renee Bilotti and her fiance Barry Carinha of Bristol and grandson Nicholas Girard (Morgan) and a great grandson Nicholas Girard Jr. of Seattle, WA.

Theresa was predeceased in death by her parents Azellus and Elodia Poulette, brothers Leo, Roland and Rene Poulette. She also leaves her sister-in-laws Mavis Guadette and Doris Poulette and several nieces and nephews.

Theresa was employed by A.T. Cross for many years. She was active with the Bristol Senior Center.

Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, where family will receive friends Thursday, January 15, 2015 from 9:30-10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church 141 State St. Bristol. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Bristol.

    Denise, Armand, Renee, Rene and family. I am so sorry I cant be with all of you right now. Your Mom and Grandmom was very kind to me all these years and I will miss her very much when I come to Bristol. I wont be able to see her and hear all the latest about what was going on with all of you or the news over at Benjamin Church and her casino trips that she loved. You are my friends and have been and will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

    I know only too well how hard this is for you all. Denise your Mom was such a lovely woman. I am sure that my Mom was one who greated her at heavens gate. Grieve when you need to grieve but don't forget to spend time every day sharing all the good memories with each other for that helps to heal your soul. Rene I am praying for you. I know that the loss of a grandmother leaves a deep hole in your heart. Take comfort in her everlasting love for you. She was always so proud of you!
