Thomas (Jose)Santos, born December 24, 1935, son of the late Beatrice Simmons and Joseph Santos, passed away on December 17, 2020. Tom, also known as Joseph Santos Jr., was a lifelong local musician and vocalist; proficient on keyboards, drums, saxophone and guitar, performing with many well known groups, such as The Sultans,during the course of his musical career. He was also a member of the Rhode Island Rhythm and Blues Association. He was the owner of Video Specialists, a popular producer of many New England weddings and special events. Tom was an avid golfer, great bowler and loved skiing. He was an Army veteran and member of the Military Police. Tom gave freely of his time as an entertainer for residents of senior housing and performing for the homeless at Newman Congregational Church and was well loved within his community. Tom was predeceased by his brother , Carl Florence. Tom is survived by his daughter Lisa Marian, husband Steve and three grandchildren Persephone, Tai and Joseph. Tom will be greatly missed by the several close friends he leaves behind. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public services.
