Obituary For Timothy Avila

Timothy Lee Avila, age 55, of Warren, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was an Attorney for Avila & Avila in Warren.

Born in Providence, a son of Erlino �"Leon� Avila and the late Marcia (Luther) Avila of Warren.

Besides his father he leaves daughter Bethany M. Avila-Lane, her husband Steven, and their son Gavin; A son, Andrew L. Avila, and a daughter, Meredith L. Avila all of Providence; a brother of Forrest L. Avila of Warren; his former wife, Catherine King Avila of Providence; his best friend and cousin, Alden Smith of Rehoboth, MA; and dear friend and companion, Mary Collins of Wickford.

Mr. Avila was a former Probate Judge, having served for 23 years. He was a member of the RI Bar Association. He was very active in his community, serving his second term on the Bristol Warren School Committee, a member of the Warren Democratic Committee and the State Democratic committee; a member of the WFD Massasoit Hook & Ladder Company. He belonged to St Albans Lodge in Bristol. He was a beekeeper, photographer, ham radio operator, and computer enthusiast.

Besides calling hours all other services will be private.
