Veronica “Ronnie” B. Correiro, of Warren, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the Dawn Hill Home in Bristol. She was a week away from her 99th birthday. She was the loving wife of the late Gilbert Carreiro.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Stephen Carreiro; her sisters, Celia Balzano, Agnes Bettencourt, Bella Bruno, Margaret Carvalho, Elizabeth Iovino and Mary Silva; and her brother, Manuel Carvalho.

Ronnie served as a member of the sodality at St. Thomas the Apostle, the Corte Real, the Prince Henry Club and the Holy Ghost Sodality. She was also an avid bowler.

Ronnie will be remembered for her vivacity, friendliness and singing voice, all of which she shared generously with anybody she met. She’ll also be remembered for her pet phrase “Did you ever?” and her tenacity in the face of any challenge, big or small.

A frequent bingo, scratch card and door prize winner, Ronnie possessed exceptionally good luck and was a source of good luck for her loved ones.

Services are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI 02885, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Thursday, February 20, 2025, from 4-7PM. A Funeral Home Service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 8AM followed immediately by a Mass of Christian at 10AM in St. Thomas the Apostle, 500 Metacom Ave, Warren, RI.

Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 330 Wood Street, Bristol, RI.
