Obituary For Virgil Medeiros

Virgil Medeiros, 76, of Barrington, RI, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born in Providence, Virgil was the Son of the late Virgil and Mary (Victoria) Medeiros and the loving husband of Roberta (Bocchino) Medeiros. He was a longtime resident of Barrington for over 50 years.

Virgil worked as a Shell Fisherman before becoming a Cable and Harness Manufacturer for Raytheon, until his retirement. He owned and operated “Golden Glove” baseball card shop for many years. In his free time, Virgil loved to work on cars, especially his 1974 Chevy Nova. He and his wife, Roberta, would frequent the nearby car shows and cruise nights. Virgil enjoyed playing cards and would often play at the German Club in Warren. Most of all, Virgil loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Red Sox, and the Patriots. He was well liked by everyone who got to meet him and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his beloved wife, Roberta, Virgil is survived by his son, Brian Medeiros and his wife Jeny Gonzalez of Fall River, and his brother, John Paul Medeiros and his wife Maryem of Warren, RI. He was the Godfather of the late John Paul Medeiros Jr.

Services are with Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd. Warren, RI, where the family will receive relatives and guests for Visitation on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 2-6PM. A Private Burial will take place on Monday, December 4, 2023.
