Obituary For Walter Twarog

Walter Sonny Twarog, 88 of Warren ,died Wednesday Feb. 24, 2016 at the Warren Skilled Nursing Center.

He was the husband of the late Vivian M. ( Malo) Twarog, they were married for over 60 years, until her death in 2015.

He was born in Warren a son of the late John and Mary ( Szaro) Twarog.

Sonny was a commercial painter for Local 195 for many years.

He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII, as a Seaman First Class.

Mr. Twarog was a Warren resident all of his life, he was a parishioner of the former St. Casimir Church.

Sonny was beekeeper, and also did some boat building, he liked traveling , he had built his house, also enjoyed lobstering, fishing, and woodworking.

He enjoyed scuba diving, and was a member of the D.A.V.

Mr. Twarog is survived by his nephews Mark Gosciminski of Massachusetts, Thomas Twarog , Commander U.S.N. Retired, Frank Twarog of Bristol, and nieces Suzanne Marcaccio of North Providence.

He was the brother of the late Frank Twarog, Josephine jay Wyrostek, Carol Oszaka, Stacy Twarog, Julia Twarog, Frances Nicpon, and Helen Gosciminski

A graveside service will be held Friday Feb. 26 2016 at 10:30am in the chapel of Notre Dame Cemetery , 359 Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket, burial with Military Honors will follow.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Arrangements by the Smith Funeral, Memorial and Cremation Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren.
