Obituary For WILLIAM DAVID McKENNA

Swansea William D. McKenna, 51, of Swansea, died Friday February 21,2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River.

He was born in Warwick a son of John J. and Paula P. (Janson) McKenna Sr. of Swansea Ma.

He has lived in Swansea or 5 years coming from Bristol, RI.

Bill was a graduate of Bristol High School Class of 1987, where he was the Freshman State Champion for Wrestling.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving as a Private First Class.

Bill was a member of the Iron Workers Union, and he also was a construction worker for various companies.

He enjoyed fishing and weight lifting and body building.

Bill had a heart of gold and he was a friend for life.

Besides his parents he is survived by his brothers John J. ROCKY McKenna Jr, and his wife Pamela of Swansea, MA. And James P. McKenna and his wife Kristine of Somerset, MA.

Bill was the Uncle of Jason, Ethan, James, Nicholas, Emily and Brooke.

He also leaves several cousins and his extended family and friends.

His visiting hours will be held Thursday February 27,2020 from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm, with a Prayer Service at 6:00 pm in the SMITH FUNERAL and MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, RI.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Burial will be private.

Billy I miss you we been through alot together. I love you I wish I could call you again. For 2 years you helped me through alot of things in my life. I'm so sorry for your family God bless them. Your mom is an amazing woman. Every time I went to your house she was so kind to me I love you and your family and I miss you guys.

I went to school with Billy and have so many fond memories of the class of 1987. Billy was such a dear person with a heart of gold. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and pray his family finds strength in the memories you all shared.. RIP FLY HIGH my old friend.
