Sousa, W. Ralph, 71, of Detroit Ave, died Sunday, at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Hospice. Born in Valley Falls, RI, a son of the late Antonio and Exilda (Bora) Sousa. Beloved husband of Janice Sousa. They would have been married 51 years January. He was an owner with his brother Victor of Sousa's Motor Mart. He served in the Coast Guard. He was a 1957 graduate of the Cumberland High School and was active with the Reunion Committee. Loving father of Sharon Costa of Hallandale, Fla. and Janine Cote of Lincoln, RI, and the late William Sousa. Grandfather of Aimee and Jeremy Joubert. Brother of the late Dolores Nelson, Gloria DeLorenzo, Reynold and Victor Sousa. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd, Warren. A Mass will be scheduled at a later date.

Dear Jan & Family, it is with great regret and deep sorrow that Ralph has left us all. Ralph was a great man and still remains that way in our hearts. Forever, to be missed by all. He now is in the hands of our Lord to be never forgotten. The high school committee was always close to Ralph who always provided good input to our reunion plans or whatever the situation, etc., always with friendliness, and great rapport with all. Never a bad word for anyone, that was only one of Ralph's unique character traits. Always, our deep heartfelt sympathies go out to you and your family. Dave & Lise.

Dear Janice & Family, Our deepest sympathy to you on Ralph's passing. I'll always remember him as a kind and gentle man. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone and I've known him most of my life. He was always the one who had the calming effect at any of our Reunion meetings. He was our Class Treasurer and always made sure we didn't over spend for our reunions. Ralph would always say we had to make sure we had money in the kitty for the next one. He was most proud of our 50th in Newport. We will miss him greatly and he will remain in our prayers always. May God bless and help you at this difficult time.

Dear Janice, I am so sad. I will miss Ralph. It was always a pleasure working with him to plan a reunion. If I had any problems, he would always assist me in a gracious and kind manner.
