Obituary For William Wallace Jaycox

William Wallace Jaycox, 91, of Bristol, RI, passed away, Sunday, November 21, 2021, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI. He was a resident there for the past six years. He received loving care and made many friends. He was a Veteran of the US Navy; proudly serving during Korea. He was the husband of the late Barbara (Newman) Jaycox, and was also preceded in death by both his daughter, Mary Jane, and son, Charles E. He is survived by grandsons David C. Jaycox and William C. Jaycox. Born in Mount Kisco, NY, he was the son of the late Howell and Dorothy (Coles) Jaycox, and lived much of his life in Bristol. Mr. Jaycox worked at banks in the Bristol-Warren area which were acquired by the Bank of America from which he retired. He was an esteemed member of the Freemasons of Rhode Island for 56 years, and served with distinction. He was Master, Treasurer, and, for 31 years, Secretary of St. Alban’s Masonic Lodge No.6 of Bristol. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 1-3PM in Smith Funeral and Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren.
